Joaquín Torres & Rafael Llamazares architects is a company that was set up in 1.996 whose activity focuses on the integrated development of architectural projects.

The staff, led by Joaquín Torres and helped by his partner Rafael Llamazares, has been growing ever since and is nowadays made up of more than 100 professionals, spread between the two Spanish branches (Madrid and A Coruña) and Arab Emirates, Dubai, working currently and in the last few years in different projects in other countries such as Brazil, Vietnam, Lebanon, Russia, Austria… among others

Lately the demand of our customers has made us expand our activities to project management, carrying out turnkey projects that were previously designed by our company.

Our working method is based on the thorough study of the customer´s needs. Any problems that might arise are set out and all possible ways of solving them are studied. Finally all possibilities of building the project are taken into account: we imagine, we design and we convince. 

The key factor in our work is to maintain the common thread of the idea throughout the process, from the start to the project management, becoming a more formal concept with sculptural value that transforms itself into architecture. In this sense, what to do is as important as how to do it.  The project needs to be drawn up by starting with a more general concept and then completing the definition of every single detail. We believe in architecture as a whole, comprising not only walls, but also interior design and landscape gardening.

Throughout the years we have collaborated with building and developing companies participating in public tendering processes or providing consultancy services, developing projects together with other architectural and engineering firms and collaborating with law firms in management and urban planning matters.

In 2011 A-cero opened its showroom A-cero in Madrid, a large space displaying the furniture collections designed by the firm and the interior design department.

A-cero Tech completes the A-cero group, a company devoted to the production of industrialised housing design by Joaquín Torres and Rafael Llamazares. A-cero Tech has its own factory where dwellings or any other type of construction are executed in a cost effective and sustainable way and with very short delivery dates.
